African dance is varied depending on which part of the continent the dance is from.
In Senegal, for example, one can see dances that are unique to the Senegalese people and
reflect their ethnic group E.g. Wolof have their own dances as do the Toucouleurs, Sereres,
and Dioula groups. The dances usually tell a story and are energetic and exciting to watch. Often the dance includes acrobatic moves.

Oumar has performed with several ballet companies in Senegal and is happy with both contemporary and traditional styles. He has taught dance classes to adults and and children both in Senegal and in the UK.
